We had a fantastic event this month that exceeded all expectations. The room was filled with eager and curious people who came to learn from our speakers and network with each other. We welcomed our new members and made them feel part of our community. We also celebrated some of our outstanding achievements and gave each other fabulous high-fives for our hard work and dedication. It was a wonderful day of fun, connection, and learning.
Hilary Billings, the co-founder of the company Attentioneers, highlighted the reality that our attention is constantly being pulled in multiple directions throughout the day. We live in an economy of attention. Everyone wants ours. Did you know that 20 million videos are posted to social media daily, and if we want to grab people’s attention, our videos must be short? She says that a short-form strategy is the only strategy to use in social media today.
The success of the short-form strategy relies on a few key factors: authenticity, clear tone, and creativity. Authenticity is crucial because viewers can quickly spot inauthentic content and will likely lose interest. A clear tone helps to convey the message effectively, while creativity makes the content stand out from the crowd. Combining these elements allows us to create compelling short-form videos that resonate with our audience. Hilary told us that creating great videos is all about engaging the audience. The best videos can grab viewers’ attention, spark emotions, and create curiosity. By doing so, we can build a connection with the viewer and keep them engaged throughout the video.
Next up, Ross Bernstein, Keynote Speaker, Author, Publisher, Family man, and all-around funny guy, spoke to us about the Champion’s Code – Winning with Integrity.
Ross captivated the entire room with his authenticity and his outrageous humor. But underneath the lively presentation, he gave us some earnest advice.
Ross has some great ideas to get you started if you’re looking to drive sales and generate business. His tips include making a memorable first impression with your website, customizing your pitch for each client, and doing research to prepare for gigs. Research not only the client’s website but find out as much as you can, such as what charities they support and speak to and find stories about the company from the people who work there. Additionally, he suggests getting creative with fees to land gigs and customizing your presentation for each customer.
On stage, he encourages you to kick some major butt and build business through philanthropy. Keeping your client pipeline full and leveraging assets to build relationships is also important. It’s essential to stay busy to grow your business. Ross says to honor and acknowledge others in your social media posts, giving companies and even your colleagues the respect that is their due. Finally, Ross suggests taking risks and learning from failure. By implementing these ideas, you can take your business to the next level and achieve tremendous success. And there is much more to learn from both Ross and Hilary. This is one video replay you want to take advantage of. Members, please head over to the vault to watch this unforgettable presentation.
We gather to help Elevate and Accelerate our businesses! As a member, if you missed our event or want to rewatch it, you can access the recording in our Success Now Vault.
