Your Book, Your Business: A Nonfiction Writing Workshop for Speakers with Sheryl Green & Julie Broad
You don’t need another panel telling you why to write a book, you need focused time, clear direction, and expert insight to actually move it forward.
In this 90-minute working session, you’ll clarify your nonfiction book idea, audience, and core promise so your book supports your speaking business, not distracts from it. You’ll leave with real progress, not just notes.
The session includes a brief interview with publishing expert Julie Broad of Book Launchers, sharing practical guidance on publishing paths, common mistakes, and how speakers use books to build credibility and revenue.
This is a hands-on session. Come ready to write and decide.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (Yes, DO! Not just watch):
- Clarify their book’s core idea and ideal reader

⚡️ PERFECT FOR SPEAKERS WHO ARE:
- Sitting on a half-written manuscript
- Overthinking their book idea
- Ready to move from “someday” to progress
About Sheryl:
Back in her “goth” days, Sheryl dreamed of working for the FBI and hunting down serial killers. When that didn’t pan out, she wrote a serial killer novel instead, and discovered she had a real talent for the written word.
She’s now the author of six books (and a coloring book), with a seventh on the way. Her titles include Book Writing for Busy People, Once Upon a Bottom Line: Storytelling for Sales, and You Had Me At No, about setting healthy boundaries to prevent burnout.
Sheryl has also ghostwritten, coached, edited, and published 20+ books. In her Nonfiction Writing Workshop for Speakers, she helps people stop talking about writing a book and actually write one.
See you in the lab!
